Week 7

Week 7 - the last week before half-term! 

The children have had another fun-filled week in Class RB. All the adults in RB are incredibly proud of all the children for working so hard during their first half-term in Reception - congratulations to them all!

This week in forest school the children have had fun creating their very own paintbrushes. They used leaves, sticks and pipe-cleaners to make their paintbrush and then used water as the paint. Maybe this is something your child could try at home over half-term!

Maths 

This week in Maths we have been looking at the language 'more than' and 'fewer than'. We have been comparing different amounts and encouraging the children to use the following sentence stems: 

'... has more than ...' 

'... has fewer than...' 

Have a look at the pictures below. Maybe you could show these to your child and talk about 'more than' and 'fewer than'. 

Phonics 

This week in phonics we have recapped some of the phonemes that we have learnt throughout the first half-term. Below are the sounds that we have revisited:
