Week 1

Happy New Year!

It was wonderful to open the door on Monday and see so many smiling faces ready to come back to school. I have had some lovely conversations about what they children did and received over the Christmas holidays. The children also shared their holiday news with their talk partners

Phonics

In December all the children were assessed to see which sounds they knew. You will receive a sheet this week letting you know which sounds they were unsure on so that you are able to focus on supporting these at home.

New sounds - Phase 3

This week we have started learning our Phase 3 sounds these are all diagraphs - 2 letters that make one sound or trigraphs - 3 letters that make one sound.
