Week 1
Welcome back!
I hope you all had a fantastic half term. Welcome back to the last half term of the academic year. I can't quite believe that I only have another 6 weeks with the class but I know they'll be jam packed and very busy. With the Oracy parents event this week, Music festival next week followed by transfer mornings and sports day there's plenty to look forward to.
Oracy
Thank you to all the amazing adults that joined us for our Oracy learn with your child event - you were all fantastic!
This session focused on the children exploring different items, talking about what they could see and what they thought each one could be used for. The children had some fantastic ideas guided by adults questions.
Fantastic construction
The children have been really inspired to build this week. Look at some of theses amazing creations!
Ticket to Ride!
Work has started on our new topic based display. Here we are painting the water and making buses.

Amazing reading
Keep up the good work - another 15 reads!
Book token winner
May's winner read at least 15 times last month. Well done to all the children that also read 15 times and were entered into the draw.
Next week
- PE - as we are doing PE outside children need to come to school wearing school uniform trainers.
- Remember that next Friday we are dressing up as animals for our music festival.
- Coats and sunhats?! It feels like there is four seasons in one day at the moment. Please provide a coat is rain is forecast and a hat for when the sun makes an appearance!
Have a lovely weekend
