Week 2
Bearpees, bulbs and balancing
What a busy a week we have had. We started the week with some amazing PE where we developed our skills pretending we were in the circus. Tightrope walking, juggling and swinging on the trapeze. We watched acrobats in a circus and then tried our hand at some of the amazing acts we had seen such as tightrope walking, juggling and swinging on the trapeze.
Planting bulbs
This year every class has been given some bulbs to plant so that they are ready to bloom next spring. RR was asked to plant their near two trees near the Year 1/2 playground. Luckily Mrs Rushton brought in her amazing bulb planting gadget to cut holes into the soil before we all planted a bulb - fingers crossed we have a beautiful display in the new year.
Marvellous maps
This term we are looking at where we live and we introduced the children to a map of the UK. They had great fun colouring in the maps and talking about the 4 different countries that make up the UK - discussing holidays and places we'd been.
Children in need - bearpees
This year the Charity Ministers at school challenged us to complete as many 'bearpees' as we could. First we had to learn how to do a burpee properly before taking on the challenge of completing them throughout the day.

Homework and other news
This week you have been asked to complete a mathematical challenge and look at the new phonemes for this week. Children are welcome to bring hats and gloves as the weather gets colder and of course warm coats as we will continue to offer outside provision throughout the winter.
Have a wonderful weekend
