Week 3
This week we listened to a new story; The Gruffalo’s Child by Julia Donaldson. In the story, the mouse looks huge and scary! We discovered it was his shadow so we made our own shadows to see why it made the mouse look so big. This was lots of fun.
In maths we are learning to count out 4 objects accurately. We have been fantastic at counting out 4 pencils, 4 blocks, 4 teddies and many more ways of finding 4 objects to count out (and of course remember to stop at 4!)
We had fun with our new listening game. We learnt what it meant to ‘be still’ by playing stop and go into the tunnel. We can be so still and wait our turn with practice. This skill helps us when we sit still on the carpet to listen to lovely stories and join in with phonics.
