Week 5
Talking, cycling and celebrating
This week the children participated in their first talks, continued to get better at balancing and cycling, found out all about Polar Bears and celebrated the Chinese New Year with a food tasting feast. What an amazing week!
Polar bears
This week we found out about another Polar animal, this time one that lives in the North Pole - Polar bears
Cooking in Forest School...
The children had some amazing ideas of what they wanted to cook in Forest School - sausages, bacon, fried eggs! We decided to try some popcorn and although it did pop the results were a little disappointing - back to the drawing board. Perhaps we'll try again later in the year.
Toy Talks
The children were amazing this week in their first 'Toy Talks' in front of the class. Their brief was to bring in a favourite toy and tell the class three things about it speaking clearly and in sentences.
Writing about penguins
The children found out some amazing facts about penguins as part of their homework and in class so we decided to have a go at writing our own facts about penguins together. Look at these amazing results.
Happy Chinese New Year
This week we learnt about the Chinese New Year or lunar new year.
