Week 5 - Sports Week
Sports Week
This week we have had a fantastic time focusing on sport and looking after our bodies. We have talked about eating healthily and read stories about keeping fit. We read a story about how Mo Farrah liked to run as a boy and then watched him win a gold medal in the Olympics
Martial Arts Workshop
We learnt about how to stay fit and look after our bodies.
We love to dance!
Lois taught us three different styles of dance. Ballet, hand jive and Irish dancing. We loved them all!
Skippy John
The children all had a fantastic time learning to skip.
Sports Day
What a brilliant morning! I was so incredibly proud of all the children for taking part in all the different races. They were so supportive of each other and all really tried their absolute best - well done all!
Let's celebrate!
At the end of the week we all received a special certificate for taking part in Sports Day and 3 stickers to show off our fantastic sporting achievements of the week! We then awarded 3 medals. We awarded medals to Noah and Sofia for their amazing effort in all the workshops and sports day. We also awarded one to Khaleesi who couldn't be there to collect in on Friday for coming and joining us on Friday after an arduous week of treatment - it was lovely to see her.

Other news...
We now have 2 weeks left in reception.
Monday remains Forest School and PE.
Next week we will collect in the library books but we won't issue any new ones. The Library in Droitwich is offering a Free reading challenge for all children which is great fun to achieve.
