Week 6

PE, Patterns and pancakes!

What a fabulous week! This week we have introduced sticker charts for the children as a way of recording all those fantastic stickers and ensuring they don't get lost before the end of the day. When the children have collected 20 stickers they receive a special mention in celebration assembly. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came to our Wednesday reading morning this week. Please note that next week will be our last reading morning for the Spring term and we will choose a different morning in the Summer term.

PE - Gymnastics

This week we have been using the story of Goldilocks and the three bears in our PE lessons. Here we are experimenting with travelling around the bed, over the bed and through it too!

I thought about whittling the photographs down but they were all too lovely not to share!

Patterns

In Maths we have been exploring patterns. We made patterns with musical instruments, cubes and printed shapes too.

Pancakes!

This week we have started looking at a new text - Mr Wolf's Pancakes. We have also enjoyed making our own collage pancakes with our favourite toppings on too!

Phonics

This week we have learn our final Phase 3 sounds. I will send home a sheet with all the sounds on this week.

Playing outside

This week we have had fun the outside area. Building houses, making mud pancakes and playing hide and seek!

Have a wonderful weekend. One more week to go of this half term!
