Week 4
Well done Class RP!
It's been another fun-filled week in Class RP and we are so proud of them all.
Phonics
Firstly, we have been continuing with our phonics learning this week and the children are doing amazingly! They are sitting and listening really well and now have their own space to sit on the carpet (ask them which fruit they sit on! 
).
This week we have been learning 'g', 'o', 'c' and 'k'. Please see the formation phrases so that your child can have a go at practicing these at home.
Phonics Workshop
Thank you to those of you who attended our Phonics Parent Workshops this week. It was lovely to see you all and invite you into the classroom afterwards to take part in the phonics activities with your child. Don't worry if you weren't able to make it as we will be putting the PowerPoint presentation on the website for you to access.
Reading at Home
It is really important that you find time each day to sit and read with your child at home. Please record any reading done of the school reading book in the Reading Record. This week your child will also come home with a 'Read With Me' book which they will have chosen themselves. This is a nice opportunity for you to read with your child and to make reading a fun and enjoyable time. The more funny voices the better!
