Week 6

We can't believe we have come to the end of another half term already! The children have worked so hard this half term and have made some great progress- you should all feel very proud of them!

This week in Forest School we used our senses to hunt for the missing objects. The children had a great time doing this!

Super Carrot!

Carrying on with our text 'Supertato' the children have been exploring different vegetables such as aubergine and broccoli, we cut them open and felt the textures inside and looked to see if there were any seeds.

The children then made their own 'Super Carrot!'

We thought about the special powers our super carrots have, the children came up with super vision and the ability to fly high into the sky! We then wrote our own sentences about our Super Carrots.

In Maths this week we have been placing numbers on to a blank number track. We helped our maths puppet 'Monty' to order his numbers correctly on the track. The children had a go at rolling dice to move numbers along the number track and enjoyed placing the numbers in the correct order.

On a Thursday afternoon with Mrs Lush the children have been exploring what they can make using a toilet roll! There have been many wonderful creations including pirates and gingerbread men!

On Monday we got the chance to go and watch the Year One performance to the rest of the school. The children all sat beautifully and made me very proud. We all really enjoyed it.

Thank you once again for your continued support this half term.

Enjoy a well earned rest and we will see you back in school on Tuesday 6th June.

Thank you,
