Week 13

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...!

This week our classroom has started to look very Christmassy! We have included lots of Christmas activities into our provision and everyone is enjoying the festive feel in the classroom and around school.

We have been practicing our fine motor skills by cutting up Christmas Tree branches and have been practicing our number formation in the sparkly 'snow'.

We have also had a visitor in our Classroom who has been causing lots of mischief...the children love coming in each morning to find out what our cheeky Elf has been up to overnight!

We're Going on a Bear Hunt...

The children are getting very good at learning the repeated phrases to We're Going on a Bear Hunt and enjoy joining in with the actions. We have been using our Story Map on our classroom wall to help us to remember all of the parts of the story.

Phonics

This week we have been revisiting some digraphs (two letters, one sound) which we have already learnt and applying these to our writing.

Nativity Sneak Peak!

Rehearsals for our Nativity are well underway and we have now had a couple of dress rehearsals. The children are getting very excited to show you all of our hard work next Tuesday and Wednesday- we hope you enjoy it! I hope you now have all the tickets you require, any problems please come and see me. Here is a sneak peak of our rehearsal in action...
