Week 6

Is it Christmas yet?

With the frost on the ground this morning it certainly looked very wintery. Please make sure that your child is wearing a suitable warm coat. They may wish to bring a hat, mittens or gloves too but please bear in mind they play get muddy when playing in our outside provision.

We are continuing to work hard on practising our phonics everyday. Thank you to all the parents who are continuing to read weekly with their children. We really appreciate your support and know that this practise really helps to build the children's fluency. Feel free to go through any of the diagraphs at home that we have recently learnt too.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Last Friday we put up our class Christmas tree. The children helped organise the branches into different colours and then followed the instructions to move the branches into place. The children couldn't believe that the tree is 20 years old and was the first one that Mr and Mrs Rudkin bought together.

This week we have been busy crafting, creating and reading with our Christmas theme. We've even been doing to spot of Yoga to help us relax!

Nativity time!

Everyone has been working hard to prepare for the Nativity performances next week. Here's a little sneak peak into our rehearsal today. We have tried on costumes and are getting really excited now!
