Week 2

Snow, speaking and Shackleton

What a busy week we have all had! This week we have been finding out all about the explorer Ernest Shackleton and his adventures in Antarctica. We were all wondering what it would be like to walk across the snow when our wishes came true and we awake to a blanket of white on Thursday!

Fun during the snow flurry

Toy Talks

This week the children have wowed me with their amazing talks about their toys from home. They all practised standing in front of an audience and speaking loudly and clearly. I was so impressed with everyone this week...that I forgot to take photos on Tuesday - oops. I can't wait for more talks next week and the Monday after too.

Comparison and composition

The children have really enjoyed their work this week on comparing numbers using more than and less than and looking at ways that we can make different numbers. We really enjoyed an episode of Numberblocks this week. The link is below if you want to watch this with your child.

Also this week...

We have made Numberblocks and other wonderful; creations from the blocks, built marble runs, created patterns with pegs and completed writing with Mrs Rudkin all about penguins.

Wonderful weekend

As always I hope you have a fantastic weekend.
