Week 2

The children have had a lovely week in the sunshine! We have been practising for sports day, learning double facts and building minibeast homes. 

Doubles!

The children have been exploring doubles patterns this week. We have been using a counting frame called a 'rekenrek' to work out doubles up to 10. E.g. 3 and 3 makes 6 and 6 is made from 3 and 3. 

Sports Day

The children have really enjoyed practising for sports day in the sunshine this week! 

Forest School 

This week some of the children showed an interest in minibeasts. We therefore had an extra visit to forest school where we made some minibeast homes!

Father's Day

This week we have been thinking about the father figures that are very special to us! We enjoyed talking about who in our family helps look after us and enjoyed the story 'My Dad is Fantastic'.
