Week 6

I can't believe it...

I can't believe that we only have one week left together! A parent spoke to me earlier in the day about the change in their child over the year and I replied that was why I love to teach reception. The growth of their independence, their confidence, their ability to learn and retain information astounds me every day. I am utterly proud of the journey that we have been on this year. Thanks for all your support as parents for coming on the journey too.

This week we have..

Played with a new car garage

Explored the properties of kinetic sand.

Built amazing marble runs.

Created using junk modelling - following instructions from the book. 'I'm not an egg box'.

Splashed, painted, cycled, sorted, coloured, snipped and used our imagination!

Maths

This week we have been using the ten frames to create numbers up to ten and looking at the composition of number. We had great fun working with our partners to make the numbers.

Reading

Please can all reading books and library books be returned so that we can check off our lists and get them ready for next year. The library is running a free Summer Reading Challenge for all children with fun activities to complete. Pop down to the library to sign up with one of the volunteers.

As always have a wonderful weekend - lets hope we have a spot of sunshine.

We'll see you ready for one more week of fun on Monday.
