The children have really enjoyed coming back to school after their Christmas holidays. They have loved talking about what they got up to and the amazing gifts that they received from Santa! The classroom has been as busy as ever with the children really enjoying catching up with their friends.
Where do I live?
Our new topic this half-term is called 'Where do I live?'. We will be learning about what country we live in, maps and our local area. We began the topic by reading a story called 'Martha Maps it Out' where we learn all about a little girl called Martha and the world around her.
In P.E this week we learnt how to travel in different ways and create different shapes and balances. The children really enjoyed challenging themselves, seeing if they can hold their balance for 5 seconds!
This week in Maths we have been learning to subitise (instantly recognise) arrangements of up to four. I wonder if your child can subitise the arrangements below...
We hope you have a wonderful weekend.
