Week 4

Bookbags, football, bread and plenty of singing!

We have been very busy this week. You will have noticed that we are encouraging the children to unpack their own book bags to foster independence. On a Monday and Thursday they put their reading book into their groups tray and on a Tuesday they take out their homework book and  class library book. The class have been absolutely amazing at doing this - you should all be really proud of them. On Monday the rain was sadly too heavy to go into Forest School but we did watch a little bit of the England match.

Little Red Hen makes bread

As we have been learning the story of the Little Red Hen we took the opportunity to make our own bread. Mrs Rudkin made the dough and we learnt all about yeast and dough.

The dough was made into 30 rolls - enough for everyone to try.

Phonics

This week we have learnt  3 new phonemes

A bundle of joy

You should now have received by email a letter regarding our Christmas Performance: A Bundle of Joy. The children have been busy practising the songs (which I can't stop singing!) and are ready to start rehearsals in the hall next week!

The performances will take place on:

Tuesday 13th December at 2pm

Wednesday 14th December at 9am

We will give out the tickets on Monday 28th November and please note that school will be providing the costumes

Have a brilliant weekend - lets hope rain eases and we can all spend some time outside!
