Week 8

Back to school! 

The children have really enjoyed coming back to school after their half-term break 

Frozen Planet 

We have started our new topic called Frozen Planet this week. We had a big surprise on Monday morning as the class received a special delivery: a lost penguin! The children decided that it would be a good idea to learn as much about penguins as possible so we could work out where the penguin had come from. We learnt lots of penguin facts and we particularly enjoyed finding out that one particular specie of penguin is called a Macaroni Penguin!

Snip Snip Snip!

The children have really enjoyed practising their cutting skills this week. We have been learning how to hold the scissors and have learnt how to snip and cut different shapes and lines. 

World Book Day 

The children really enjoyed celebrating World Book Day! We had a wonderful time reading a range of stories and celebrating a love of reading! We were so impressed with the children's costumes and they loved sharing their favourite stories with the rest of the class.
