Week 5

Week 5

This week the children in RB have really enjoyed another week of exploring Forest School, learning new phonemes and developing their gymnastics skills.

Phonics!

The children have been absolute superstars during phonics this week. They are really trying hard to remember all the new phonemes that they have been learning. You can find them below:

Maths

This week in maths we have been learning to use the words 'more' and 'fewer' when comparing two sets of objects. Here are some examples below that you may want to share with your child at home. Who has more? Who has fewer?

P.E.

This week the children have continued to develop their gymnastics skills through the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have been practising a straight roll and a barrel roll.

Forest School

This week in forest school the children have been learning about minibeasts during Winter. We found out that some like to hibernate and some like to migrate to warmer countries. The children then decided to build minibeast houses in forest school to protect minibeasts during the colder months.

A huge thank you to all parents who attended the parent reading morning on Wednesday. The children really enjoy their grown-ups visiting the classroom.

Have a wonderful weekend.
