Wellbeing is described by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as “the state in which the individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with normal stresses of life, can work productively, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.” WHO stresses that health is not merely the absence of illness, but a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing.

Understanding that we are all unique, with our own strengths, qualities and interests is very important for our well-being. Through having a positive view of ourselves, we can feel better equipped to cope with life’s challenges and make better connections with others.
Here are some ways you can easily encourage your children to develop a better sense of positivity about themselves.
