Year 2
The final half term of this academic year is here!
We know the children and staff will continue to work hard to strive for the best outcomes for all of our children.
Over the next few weeks you will find out your child's new class for September and then at the end of the year receive your child's school report.
We are looking forwards to lots of exciting opportunities and learning, to finish off a great year!
Welcome back for the start of the summer term. We have a number of exciting things planned to finish off the school year-

Spring 2 topic letter-
Year 2 have had lots of fun in art this week marking leaf patterns in to clay!
Welcome back, ready for the first half of our Spring term.

Year 2 travelled back in time to 1666 with a visit from Freshwater Theatre Company. We enjoyed learning more about the Great Fire of London and what life was like in 1666 with Mary Porter, a 'resident' of Pudding Lane. We all had a great time being time travellers and learning all about this significant historical event.
Year 2 loved having a visit from Rebecca Redfern following on from their London Olympics lesson. They even got to hold her silver medals!
Year 2 represented Chawson brilliantly this morning on our visit to the war memorial for the Droitwich Remembrance Service. The children have learned so much about the Remembrance Service and what it represents and were glad to take part in the service. We also had a visit from the British Legion this week so we were pleased to see them again at the end of the service. As a school, we laid a poppy wreath to pay our respects so look for it if you visit the war memorial at any point. Thank you very much to the volunteers who accompanied us on the visit.
