Week 7

Week 7

The children have made it to the end of an amazing half-term, they have done a brilliant job of settling in, making new friends and most importantly, having fun! It's been 7 weeks of 'firsts' and we have...

  • Been to our first forest school
  • Had our first PE lesson
  • Went on our first local visit to the library
  • Had our first parent stay and play

We are all incredibly proud of the children and after a well-deserved rest, excited for more learning to happen in the Autumn term.

This week, we have been really valuing the time we can spend outdoors - even when it's raining! Spending just 10 minutes outside can have a huge benefit on our children as they explore the world around them using their senses. On Wednesday, we made good use of the big puddle on the Reception playground, as you can see below.

Before we sign off for half-term, we would like to signpost you to Worcestershire Children First, who offer early help family support.

What is early help?

Early help means providing help and support to a child, young person or their family as soon as it is identified they need additional help and support. This could be at any point in a child or young person’s life for example in pregnancy right the way through to their eighteenth birthday. This can be help and support on more than one occasion as we know children’s needs change as they grow and develop, there is challenges in their communities and their family circumstances and situations can change too.

If you'd like to know more, please head to: https://worcestershire.gov.uk/earlyhelpfamilysupport

We hope you have a wonderful half-term.
