Week 6

Here in RR we are truly getting into the festive spirit. We have been really busy, rehearsing our Christmas Nativity, our Christmas Song and we’ve been just like elves busy making things to take home.

On Monday we welcomed sticks into our classroom. These sticks weren’t just any old sticks…no these sticks were:

Flag Poles

Magic wands

Umbrellas

Brooms

Bats

Spades

Hedge trimmers

And many, many more! We used our oracy skills to discuss where we found them and what we thought they could be. We acted it out in Forest School.

We have been very busy with our fine motor skills, strengthening our finger muscles, with lots of Christmas and winter themed activities.

Finally, I think an elf took this sneaky photo. I love sharing stories with the children and we hope that you will find the weekly ‘Read With Me’ books enjoyable too. The children really enjoy choosing them. We have just had a delivery of brand-new stories so look out for them too.
