Week 4

This week we have been continued to look at 'We're going on a Bear Hunt' as a key text. The children have really enjoyed retelling the story with their learning partner, using their own story maps to help them remember the order of the story. 

Below is a retelling of We're going on a Bear Hunt performed by Michael Rosen. You may like to share this video with your child and retell the story together. 

We have also been learning how to count accurately numbers up to 5, making sure we are very confident when working with numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. We have also introduced the children to 'learning detectives', where the children search for really good learning around the classroom. This week we have been looking for 'explorers', these are children who like to explore new and wonderful things indoors and outdoors. The 'learning detectives' then use a clipboard and pencil to note down any amazing learning they can find!
