Week 4
It has been wonderful to be back in the classroom this week and to see all the children again.
This week we have been continuing retelling the story of We’re going on a Bear Hunt. I was so impressed at how the children have learnt the story and how they are able to remember all the different things the family encounter in order.
We retold the story in Forest School and we drew our own story maps too.
Why don’t you watch Michael Rosen performing this wonderful story and have a go at joining in too?
This week we have been looking at counting accurately to 5. We have been looking at one more and one less and using our number frames to help us organize our answers.
We have also been working on our finger strength to help us to hold our pencils. This week we have been using wooden pegs and ‘working out’ to the Children in Need song. We had great fun!
Finger strength and pencil grip are really important when learning to write and form letters.
Have a wonderful weekend
