Week 4

The change in weather has brought curiosity to Pre-school. It has been a great opportunity to explore ice, snow, hail, wind and the cold weather! We have been discussing the seasons changing from Autumn to winter and signs to look our for.

As we continue our Goldilocks theme, we learnt how to make porridge oats. We used our senses to discuss the texture, smell and even taste at snack time. Most of the children loved it and even had seconds! Whilst some of us were not so keen but we were very proud of them all for trying it.

One of our taught skills this week has been learning how to use scissors to cut along straight lines. We have been practising using our thumb on top as a way to remember how to hold them correctly. Perhaps you could continue to practice using scissors safely at home.
