Welcome to week 3 of our Autumn 2 blog - the weeks are flying by! The children have had another super busy week with lots of wonderful learning taking place. This week we have started reading the story 'We're going on a Bear Hunt', which the children have thoroughly enjoyed. We have been hunting for bears in forest school, retelling the story to our friends and acting out the story using props and puppets.
We have also been working with numbers up to 5 - making sure we can subitise (just recognise the amount without counting), use a 5 frame and count forwards/back to 5. The children have also really liked showing how quick they can show 5 fingers on their hands!
On Thursday, we came to school in our slippers! This wasn't because we arrived half-dressed, but because we were thinking about different ways to relax and look after our well-being. The children loved showing off their slippers! Finally, we finished off the week in a crazy way with crazy hair - celebrating the wonderful cause of Children in Need. The children looked amazing and a huge thank you to all parents who helped their children create amazing hair dos!
