Week 2
Week 2
The children have had an amazing week kick-starting our farm topic with a visit to Oversley Hill Farm. The children were very excited about travelling via coach, looking out their windows and talking about their local environment with their friends.
When the children arrived we met Sophie and Amy who showed us how to make a loaf of bread. We then spent the morning looking around the farm and learning about the different animals that were looked after there.
We fed the chickens, held baby lambs and said hello to the cows. We learnt some amazing facts along the way. For instance, did you know cows and sheep don't have a top set of teeth? We also couldn't believe how long cows tongues are!
We then had our lunch and spent the afternoon sitting in tractors and running around the farm fields. The children enjoyed rolling down the hill but weren't too keen on walking all the way back up to the top!
The children were very well behaved and were a credit to the school - well done class RB!
