Welcome back to class RB after hopefully a lovely Christmas break at home, we hope you had a magical time during the festive period. During the first three days back at school we have been celebrating Arts Week where we have been learning all about art, music and dance.
On Wednesday we had a visitor called Gareth who helped us make music using different instruments, we learnt how to copy a rhythm and most importantly had lots of fun!
On Thursday, we spent the day learning about an artist called Mark Rothko, who was famous for creating paintings by mixing different colours together. The children were shown some of his paintings and then had the opportunity to mix colours by using the primary colours of red, yellow and blue. We learnt that by just using the primary colours we could make other colours including orange, purple and green.
We finished the week with a dance workshop where we created our own dance routine by performing our very own dance moves which included a sausage roll, superhero and falling star balance.
We hope you have a lovely weekend and can't wait to hear all about your home learning activities next week.
