Reception Blog - Sports Week and Jubilee Celebrations
Sport and Jubilee Fun
We have had so much fun this week. We have taken part in Sports Week - trying our hand at lots of new sports and of course taking part in our first Chawson First School Sports Day!
We loved celebrating Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee on the field with the whole school too.
There are a lot of photos this week because no one wanted to choose - enjoy!
This week we have enjoyed taking part in lots of different types of sport. We tried archery, fencing, boxercise, dancing and Tae Kwon Do. We were so impressed with how well the children listened to the different instructors and really tried hard to practise all their new skills.
The sun shone, the parents cheered and the children were quite simply marvellous. We are so proud of how brilliantly all the children took part and we hope you are too!
We donned our homemade crowns, grabbed our flags and celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee amongst a sea of red, white and blue. We all danced a special dance that Mrs Bartle taught us and received a beautiful souvenir teddy bear from the PTA. We spread our picnic blankets out and ate ice cream. What a fantastic end to a brilliant week.
We hope that you all have a wonderful half term with lots of fun.
